It is absolutely easy to make. Thanks to Carwari Barbeque Sauce and Spicy Seasoning, you don't need to cut any ingredients.

12 small patties (4 servings)

Ingredients

(Patties)

300g Tofu (Medium firm)

120g Rolled Oats

1/2 tsp Ground Nutmeg

1 Tbs Carwari Organic Extra Virgin Sesame Oil (for pan-frying the patties)

(BBQ Tomato Sauce)

400g Canned Chopped Tomato

Salt & Pepper

(Topping)

Method

  1. Make patties. Put tofu in a large microwave oven safe bowl and mash with a fork. Add rolled oats and cook for 2-3 minutes in microwave oven. Mix the mixture with a fork again and cool it down a little bit.

  2. Add Barbeque sauce, spicy seasoning, tahini, sesame flour and nutmeg. The consistency is almost same as meat patties mixture. If it's very wet add more sesame flour or corn flour. Adjust the taste with salt and pepper.

  3. Shape into 12 small patties. If the mixture stick to your hand so much, wet your hands with a small amount of water occasionally.

  4. Heat oil in a large frying pan over medium heat and cook the patties 4-5 minutes each side. Stop the heat and transfer the patties to a plate.

  5. Make sauce. Put canned tomato, barbecue sauce and miring into the same pan you used for cooking the patties. Cook over medium heat until the sauce is reduced to almost half. Stir the sauce constantly. Add tahini and stir to combine. Adjust the taste with salt and pepper. Add Agave nectar to make it milder or adjust the acidity if you desire.

  6. Place the sauce and put 3 patties with leaf vegetables on each serving plate. Sprinkle extra amount of Carwari Organic Japanese Spicy Seasoning and Carwari Organic Tamari Peppitas. Put Tahini Sauce if you desire.
