Sweet Tahini Miso Sauce and Roasted Cabbage (Gluten-Free, Vegan)



Serving 2 mains or 4 sides


Ingredient for Sweet Miso Tahini Sauce

2 tsps Carwari Organic Miso Paste Red/White/Brown Rice Miso Red

10ml Carwari Organic Tamari

20ml Carwari Organic Mirin

4 TBS Carwari Organic Toasted Sesame Oil / Toasted Black Sesame Oil

2 tsps Carwari Organic Hulled Tahini

2 tsps Carwari Organic Agave Nectar Dark/Light

1/2 tsp Garlic Powder

2 tsps Water


Ingredients for Roasted Cabbage

1/2 Small Cabbage

1/4 Small Red Cabbage

2 TBS Carwari Organic Extra Virgin Sesame Oil

1-2 tsps Carwari Organic Japanese Spicy Seasoning


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 220 degrees fan forced.

  2. Prepare the sauce. Firstly dissolve Miso and Tahini in 2TBS Sesame Oil. Then add other ingredients except water to mix. Stir water little by little into the sauce mixture.

  3. Cut the cabbage into wedges. Place the cabbage on lined baking tray and coat with Extra Virgin Sesame Oil and Japanese Spicy Seasoning on both side.

  4. Roast the cabbage 10-15 minutes or until they stat to brown.

  5. Take them out from the oven and brush with the sauce on both sides.

  6. Put them back in the oven and continue roasting another 5 minutes or until browned and tender.

  7. Transfer the cabbage wedges to serving plate and drizzle with the remaining sauce and sprinkle extra amount of Carwari Organic Japanese Spicy Seasoning and Carwari Organic Tamari Pepitas
