Bean Sprout and Wakame Soup with Toasted Sesame Oil (Vegan & Gluten-free)

It is very simple soup. All of the 4 condiments are important The soup is seasoned with Japanese Spicy Seasoning and Tamari, Mirin gives mildness and depth. The final touch is to drizzle Toasted Sesame Oil which lifts this simple soup to very flavoursome level.

Ingredients

1 cup Bean Sprout

1/2 tsp Dried Wakame Seaweed

200ml Water

Chopped green onions and toasted sesame seeds for topping


Instructions

  1. Place water in a sauce pan and bring to boil. Then add bean sprout and dried wake seaweed.

  2. Add Japanese Spicy Seasoning, Mirin, Tamari and simmer for a few minutes.

  3. Transfer the soup to a serving bowl and drizzle Toasted Sesame Oil and sprinkle chopped green onions and sesame seeds.
